About the Role:
Pepkor is seeking a proactive and analytical Trainee Store Planner to join the Dunns Support Office team. This role involves managing store planning for a portfolio of stores, ensuring stock is distributed optimally in line with company strategy, and supporting business decisions through data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate distribution of seasonal stock to optimise sales.
- Manage optimal allocation of non-seasonal and seasonal replenishment stock.
- Deliver location plans to cluster stores at the required product levels.
- Analyse store performance and provide timely, accurate information to support business decisions.
- Deliver New Store Plans to ensure new stores are stocked according to plan.
- Assist stores in resolving stock-related queries.
- Conduct regular store visits as required by the business.
- Produce seasonal and non-seasonal replenishment profiles at the required product levels.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous.
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience in store planning within a retail environment.
- Exposure to logistics and supply chain processes.
- Experience with planning systems such as Location Planning, JDA Allocation Planning, or Just Enough.
- Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with Google Suite is advantageous.
- Knowledge of the retail merchandise cycle, seasonal and non-seasonal replenishments.
