Role Overview
Our client in the Automotive Industry is seeking a Temporary Supplier Readiness Engineer to ensure seamless supplier readiness for vehicle production. The role involves managing critical part development, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage local development of critical parts at suppliers.
- Ensure supplier readiness for corporate milestones (PEP) and vehicle builds.
- Oversee on-time submission of sample parts with full legal and technical documentation.
- Conduct early planning and frequent supplier site visits.
- Collaborate with suppliers and toolmakers to:
- Agree on project timelines.
- Set secondary project milestones.
- Provide consulting on tooling, facility design, and manufacturing processes.
- Minimize troubleshooting before and after Start of Production.
Additional Tasks
- Ensure suppliers meet Group’s timing, quality, and capacity requirements.
- Validate functionality of supplier tooling and equipment.
- Maintain clear and timely communication:
- Internally across Group departments.
- Directly with suppliers.
Qualification Requirements
- Technical Degree/Diploma in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechatronics
- Polymer Engineering
Experience Needed
- Minimum 5 years in:
- Plastics or injection moulding technologies.
- Manufacturing processes for critical parts.
- Tool manufacturing/design.
- Project management.
Essential Skills & Competencies
- Strong project management abilities.
- Technical expertise and ability to read technical drawings.
- Negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- High computer literacy (MS Office).
- Customer interface and conflict resolution skills.
- Self-motivated and driven.

- Qualified Toolmaker certification.
- Experience in:
- Pilot Hall operations.
- Supplier quality assurance.
