Dealership Service Manager – The Talent Room
Our client, a well-established dealership in Johannesburg North, is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Dealership Service Manager to oversee and optimize their service department. The ideal candidate will bring expertise, leadership, and a dedication to exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric qualification (essential)
- Relevant Automotive Technical Qualification (Trade Tested Motor Mechanic or equivalent)
- 3-5 years of experience as a Service Manager
- Ford vehicle and systems experience (highly advantageous)
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills
- Proven track record in achieving performance targets and customer satisfaction
- Proficient in computer systems (Kerridge/CDK, Automate, or similar DMS preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean criminal record
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily service department operations
- Supervise technicians and service advisors
- Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction
- Drive profitability and meet performance objectives
- Maintain compliance with manufacturer and company standards
- Resolve escalated customer concerns effectively
- Monitor workflow, parts inventory, and workshop efficiency
- Manage warranty claims and documentation accuracy

- Familiarity with Ford-specific systems and procedures
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Customer-centric approach with hands-on leadership style
