Duties & Responsibilities
- Organize and oversee all store operations, delegating tasks efficiently.
- Manage ordering of food, resale, and beverage items in compliance with Tsebo policies.
- Inspect, record, and verify incoming stock from suppliers.
- Issue stock from storage areas (fridges, freezers, dry store) based on portion guidelines.
- Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, and storage conditions for compliance.
- Conduct accurate daily costing for stock, meals, and functions.
- Perform weekly stock takes and maintain precise inventory records.
- Ensure storerooms and storage areas are clean, organized, and properly labeled.
- Optimize stock rotation, minimize wastage, and manage leftovers effectively.
- Uphold strict hygiene standards per Tsebo protocols.
- Forecast stock requirements and report shortages proactively.
- Process supplier invoices daily using Tsebo Source.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers and clients.
- Comply with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Report on product quality and customer feedback.
- Provide seamless handovers and support to other units as needed.
- Maintain accountability and integrity in stock-handling processes.
Skills and Competencies
- Proven store or inventory management experience in catering or hospitality.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Keen attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in inventory systems (e.g., Tsebo Source).
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
Qualifications
- Matric / Grade 12 certification (essential).
- Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality or related field (advantageous).
- 3–5 years of store or inventory management experience in catering, hospitality, or food service.
