Adcock Ingram is Hiring a SHEQ Officer in Midrand
Adcock Ingram Distribution is seeking a dedicated SHEQ Officer to ensure effective implementation of the SHE System, legal compliance with the OHS Act, and minimization of company risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with the OHS Act.
- Conduct training as per SOPs and OHS requirements.
- Perform risk assessments and implement safety measures.
- Maintain and control Quality Management System documents as per SOPs.
- Keep records to demonstrate conformity with Occupational Safety Management Standards.
- Create, maintain, and update HSE-related SOPs.
- Drive continuous improvement of the Health and Safety System.
- Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits.
- Manage on-site contractors to ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Actively participate in the resident fire team.
- Investigate all safety-related incidents and accidents.
- Conduct inductions for new employees and contractors.
- Ensure staff MHE licensing is up to date.
- Assist in conducting annual medicals.
- Perform daily checks to enforce the use of prescribed safety apparel.
- Monitor delivery trucks for faults and driver compliance.
- Test and maintain security equipment (CCTV, electric fences, panic buttons).
- Ensure servicing of critical equipment per the required schedule.
Requirements:
- Matric qualification.
- Diploma in Safety Management, SHEQ, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a SHEQ Officer.
- Pharmaceutical environment experience advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of the OHS Act and Environmental Management.
- Experience in Accident & Incident Investigation, Hazards Identification, and Risk Management.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Oracle/ERP systems.
