Fidelity Vacancies – Service Technician
Fidelity Services Group is looking for a Service Technician to service and maintain alarm systems across domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors. This role requires a skilled technician with experience in installations, fault-finding, and programming various alarm systems.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an alarm technician
- Proven experience in programming, wiring, installations, and fault-finding
- Valid driver’s license
- PSIRA registration (Grade E)
- Strong knowledge of DSC, FBI, CADDX, IDS, Paradox, and Texecom systems
- Experience with CCTV, intercom systems, and access control
- Ability to work standby as per duty schedule
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Duties:
- Conduct service calls, maintenance, and repairs of alarm systems
- Program alarm panels and ensure they meet company standards
- Complete handovers, quotations, and job-related documentation
- Perform alarm system takeovers and reprogramming as needed
- Complete minor installations when required
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including drive sheets, job reports, and invoices
- Provide quotations for system upgrades
- Conduct vehicle, electrical, and ladder inspections, reporting findings to the Field Line Manager
- Ensure proper stock control and report shortages immediately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle
Performance Standards:
- Ensure all scheduled service calls are attended or rescheduled accordingly
- Program alarm panels to meet company and industry standards
- Accurately complete all required documentation in a timely manner
- Maintain a high standard of work on all installations and services
- Conduct weekly inspections and maintain accurate stock records
- Keep company vehicles clean and in good condition at all times
