Mr Price Vacancies – Resourcing Specialist Miladys

Mr Price is looking for a skilled Resourcing Specialist for Miladys to drive world-class merchandise sourcing and supplier management. This role plays a key part in supporting the merchandise strategy by ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and delivery timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze key sourcing metrics to assess supplier performance and identify potential risks.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of short- and long-term resourcing strategies aligned with business and merchandise objectives.
  • Build strategic supplier relationships and explore new partnerships to enhance long-term sustainability.
  • Research and introduce new vendor solutions that align with business needs and improve profitability.
  • Identify competitive supplier territories and guide new vendors in understanding company policies and requirements.
  • Procure merchandise at the best total cost of ownership (TCO) through strategic negotiation, volume bundling, and fabric optimization.
  • Re-engineer products to reduce costs while maintaining quality and required standards.
  • Negotiate favorable payment terms with suppliers to improve financial efficiency.
  • Oversee critical path management to ensure timely merchandise delivery and correct product execution.
  • Collaborate with resource coordinators to mitigate potential delivery delays and minimize business impact.
  • Work closely with merchants to react effectively to market trends and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Research global product and fabric developments to identify profitable opportunities and ensure market relevance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or diploma in Procurement, Sourcing, or Clothing Management.
  • 1-3 years of sourcing experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of corporate social responsibility, sustainable practices, fabric technology, raw materials, and manufacturing.
