Job Description
Parts Incorporated Africa is seeking an experienced Internal Salesman to join our Cape Town branch. The role focuses on driving sales growth, expanding new business opportunities, and delivering exceptional after-sales service to our customers.
Specific Role Responsibilities
- Manage customer sales to maximize revenue potential.
- Plan, forecast, and report on sales performance to management.
- Monitor and report competitor pricing and activities.
- Communicate customer-related concerns, including delivery, tele-sales, and accounts, to management.
- Meet revenue targets by expanding the customer base and increasing market share.
- Foster strong, long-term relationships with customers.
- Collaborate with Sales, Accounts, Dispatch, Warehousing, Receiving, and Technical departments to ensure operational efficiency.
- Analyze customer buying trends and provide insights for sales fluctuations.
- Proactively resolve customer queries and issues.
- Implement marketing initiatives and promote new products.
- Track and report on market trends.
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in Spares/Motor/Engine parts
- Extensive experience in automotive sales and marketing (Japanese & European vehicles)
- Valid driver’s license (essential)
Skills and Personal Attributes
- Strong understanding of the local geographical market
- Willingness to travel as required
- Basic knowledge of Internal Combustion Engines
- Technical/Mechanical background (desirable)
- Strong product knowledge
- Excellent communication and professionalism
- Team player with a results-driven mindset
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Honest, reliable, and exhibits integrity
- Clear criminal record
