About the Role:
Sanlam is seeking a dedicated and proactive Financial Planner : Executive Wealth to join our team. This role focuses on delivering tailored financial advice and solutions to both new and existing clients. You will play a key role in procuring high-quality business, building long-term client relationships, and upholding the Sanlam Group’s commitment to ethical and compliant financial practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Acquisition and Business Growth:
- Drive the growth of the Sanlam Adviser Business by meeting marketing plans and business targets.
- Apply market segmentation and customer profiles to support sales and growth.
- Achieve revenue generation targets, including single and recurring premiums.
- Promote the Sanlam brand and ensure fair treatment of customers.
- Networking and Lead Generation:
- Engage in face-to-face interactions, social events, and business networks to generate new business opportunities.
- Prospect new clients through creative methods and leverage existing relationships.
- Utilize social media and other channels to market services and generate leads.
- Identify gaps and opportunities within the client base for targeted campaigns.
- Client Consultations and Sales:
- Conduct compliant and thorough client interactions, providing written and electronic information as needed.
- Perform comprehensive fact-finding and financial needs analysis using relevant tools.
- Present personalized financial solutions aligned with client needs and Treating Customers Fairly principles.
- Regularly review and update clients’ financial portfolios.
- Client Service:
- Provide ethical, courteous, and professional service to all clients.
- Resolve business queries promptly and strive to offer exceptional value.
- Maintain long-term client relationships and stay updated on industry knowledge.
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Document and present key metrics such as contacts, appointments, and issued business.
- Track progress against targets and update client records accordingly.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12
- Compliance with Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS) “Fit and Proper” requirements and successful completion of Regulatory Examination if registered with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) for more than 24 months.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Expertise in financial advice, production target achievement, and budgeting.
- Strong understanding of compliance and risk management.
- Proficiency in client relationship management and financial planning.
