Mr Price is looking for a creative visionary to join our team as an Art Direction Lead. This role is essential in conceptualizing, shaping, and executing the creative direction across our brand. Working closely with the Creative Leader, Creative Heads, and the broader creative team, you will ensure all creative efforts align with the brand’s strategy and vision.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Conceptualization & Design
- Develop and execute creative direction for departments and sub-brands in alignment with overall brand strategy.
- Analyze seasonal creative output, conduct postmortem reviews, and extract key insights to guide future strategies.
- Create mood boards, visual references, and innovative concepts that differentiate the brand.
- Research design methodologies and applications, continuously bringing fresh ideas to enhance creative execution.
- Oversee the design rollout across print, digital, social media, events, and activations.
- Ensure all creative work meets business standards, from print to digital and television if required.
- Maintain and elevate the visual identity, tone, and feel of all creative work.
Team Leadership & Performance
- Lead and inspire the design team by setting clear expectations and fostering a results-driven, professional culture.
- Identify training and development opportunities, with a focus on talent management and succession planning.
- Ensure timely execution of projects while maintaining high creative standards.
- Guide the team on brand-aligned creative execution that supports marketing strategy.
Photoshoots & Creative Execution
- Direct photoshoots for still and video, including scamps, model selection, location approval, and prop requirements.
- Provide post-shoot selects to guide design rollout.
- Assist in finalizing design elements when required.
Presentations & Collaboration
- Participate in kickstart and production meetings.
- Present creative concepts and outputs, articulating the strategic thinking behind them.
Trends & Research
- Stay up to date with fashion and industry trends to ensure brand relevance and audience engagement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Fine Arts or Graphic Design qualification.
- 7-8 years of experience in conceptualizing and driving the design process.
- Strong portfolio showcasing design expertise and leadership capabilities.
- Experience in web, digital, interactive campaigns, and brand development.
- Understanding of current trends, creative processes, and shoot execution.
- Agency or retail experience preferred.
