About the Role

The Maltings Technical Trainee is part of a hands-on program designed to develop technical expertise across Maltings operations, including Technical Services, Quality, and Production. This role provides exposure to equipment operation, troubleshooting, and project participation while supporting continuous improvement initiatives within AB InBev.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the theory, principles, and operation of Technical Services, Quality, and Production equipment across the Maltings site.

• Participate in projects aligned with program objectives and Maltings priorities.

• Apply VPO (Supply Excellence) principles to drive operational efficiency.

• Diagnose systemic and situational problems and perform troubleshooting.

• Engage in team structures within Technical Services, Quality, and Production, including acting roles in leadership positions.

• Communicate learnings, insights, and solutions effectively across various levels of the business.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent BTech.

• 2 years’ experience in Technical Services, Quality, or Production within FMCG is advantageous.

• Demonstrated technical aptitude and interest in maintenance, reliability, or engineering problem-solving.

• Legal work authorization (full citizenship) in South Africa.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
