SAB Vacancies – Raw Materials Controller

SAB is seeking a detail-oriented Raw Materials Controller to oversee the Brewing Raw Materials department. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth operation of raw material planning, forecasting, and quality control while maintaining a safe work environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, forecasting, and ordering of raw materials to meet production requirements.
  • Ensure accurate SAP and MES stock management, including SAP master data integrity.
  • Monitor and manage material requirements planning (MRP) to ensure compliance with key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct audits to maintain stock accuracy and reconciliation.
  • Communicate with regional production planners, divisional planners, and suppliers to ensure smooth material flow.
  • Support problem-solving efforts related to materials and investigate material losses.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers to maintain quality and on-time delivery of raw materials.
  • Assist with new material trials and ensure hygiene and food safety compliance.
  • Lead a team and provide training, coaching, and support to ensure department success.
  • Support VPO (Value Process Optimization) pillar implementation and other audit requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Procure to Pay (PTP), Vendor Invoice Management (VIM), and Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GR/IR) processes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in a relevant field.
  • At least one year of experience in a logistics or procurement environment.
  • Proficiency in SAP and strong Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of brewing raw materials and the brewing process is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Financially inclined with the ability to plan and coordinate effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • High energy levels, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills at all levels of the organization.
