The Analyst – BSS OSS.ICT Business Capability Building is responsible for defining project requirements aligned with the BSS program scope and plan. This role involves designing and recommending innovative Agile solutions that enhance operational effectiveness and deliver value to stakeholders.
Key deliverables include adhering to MTN business analysis frameworks and quality standards, ensuring signed-off quality requirements definition documents, user stories aligned with product owner guidelines, well-documented change requests, and effectively facilitated design thinking workshops. The analyst is expected to apply insights from communities of practice, contribute to continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with Program Management Office governance.
Responsibilities include eliciting and analyzing requirements through user stories and customer journeys, documenting non-functional requirements, managing communication with stakeholders through workshops and ideation sessions, and drafting training materials. The role also requires conducting business requirements testing on the BSS platform and assisting in defining business case benefits.
The analyst will engage in strategy analysis by defining problem statements, conducting pre-session research, and consulting experts to understand business objectives. Stakeholder engagement planning involves identifying personas, reviewing current business processes, analyzing gaps, and facilitating early-stage workshops. The analyst is expected to capture insights into structured documentation, ensuring requirements are grouped for efficiency.
Design responsibilities include conducting design thinking workshops, brainstorming solution activities, structuring ideas, generating requirement documents, and maintaining a requirements traceability matrix. The analyst will document business requirements, functional specifications, and training requirements while collaborating with technical teams and vendors to align solutions with business needs.
Problem-solving and change request management include negotiating requirement conflicts, documenting change requests, proposing solutions, and providing input into training material for implementation. The analyst will work closely with development, testing, and design teams to resolve queries and configure business processes where needed.
User acceptance testing responsibilities include documenting test scenarios, measuring solution performance, communicating defect severity to stakeholders, and participating in UAT teams. The analyst will support Agile implementation by integrating stakeholder needs into project management workflows, defining standardized ways of working across delivery teams, and creating user stories with acceptance criteria.
Customer satisfaction is a key focus, requiring the analyst to build strong relationships with stakeholders, ensure system alignment with customer needs, implement contingency plans, and adopt a proactive problem-prevention approach.
Business process mapping includes defining and documenting processes as a basis for business process design and optimization. The analyst will contribute to enterprise process mapping, conduct root cause analysis, align processes with system functionality, and document process improvements for efficiency and cost reduction. The role also involves identifying and analyzing business rules, implementing recommended process improvements through training, and reviewing business processes post-implementation to measure improvements.
Adherence to ISO 9001 Quality Standards and Program Management Office governance is mandatory.
Qualifications include a minimum three-year degree or diploma in a relevant discipline, with a diploma in Business Analysis required. Additional certifications in Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban), design thinking frameworks, and Six Sigma are advantageous. Facilitation experience is essential.
Work experience in complex projects, customer experience principles, and telecommunications is an advantage. Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO9000, Six Sigma, and frameworks like e-TOM, TOGAF, and Zachman is beneficial. Experience with process modeling tools such as ARIS, Casewise, Visio, or Abacus will be an asset.
