The Account Manager – Farmer, Commercial Operations SA, will support the Senior Account Manager in executing operational and promotional plans within assigned accounts. This role focuses on maintaining strong commercial relationships and driving revenue growth while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to operational and promotional planning to enhance revenue growth.
- Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities for business expansion.
- Maintain knowledge of commercial agreements and manage relationships within assigned accounts.
- Support the development and execution of account and promotional plans.
- Resolve escalated issues and implement innovative promotional activities.
- Enhance MTN’s brand presence and influence within assigned accounts.
- Assist in forecasting acquisition, retention numbers, and stock requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Identify training and information needs for staff within assigned accounts.
- Provide insights on competitive threats and recommend product/service enhancements.
- Prepare reports on account performance and key business metrics.
Customer Service and Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Support existing accounts while identifying new revenue opportunities.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer queries within agreed SLA parameters.
- Align customer needs with MTN’s service offerings to maximize satisfaction.
Quality and Compliance
- Adhere to industry best practices, policies, and regulations.
- Maintain high-quality standards to enhance customer experience.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes and service delivery.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Foster a customer-centric culture and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of a 3-year Degree or Diploma in Commerce (Sales, Financial, Marketing, or Communication) or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in the telecom industry, with account management experience.
- ICT and GSM technology experience is advantageous.
- Experience working in a medium-sized organization with supervisory responsibilities.
