An established insurance company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial & Agri Underwriter to join their dynamic team. This is a prime opportunity for a seasoned insurance professional with deep expertise in commercial lines and a client-centric approach to advance their career within a reputable organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Preparing accurate and competitive quotations.
- Issuing new policies, renewals, and endorsements efficiently.
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Maintaining precise records on relevant underwriting systems.
- Assisting with general office administration tasks.
Essential Requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- NQF 4 Short-term Insurance Certificate.
- RE5 Certification.
- Completed Class of Business & Product Training.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in short-term commercial insurance underwriting.
- Hands-on experience with Tial, Santam Policy Centre, and OMI systems (non-negotiable).
- DOFA confirmation from the FSCA.
