Spar Vacancies – Store Manager

The role of a Store Manager is to oversee all store operations, ensuring efficient functionality across all departments while maintaining brand standards and reputation. This position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and a commitment to driving sales and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all store departments and daily operations.
  • Manage shrinkage levels within company targets.
  • Implement policies and procedures to minimize stock loss.
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to increase revenue.
  • Recruit, train, and manage store employees.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors for procurement.
  • Plan budgets and financial strategies for store profitability.
  • Analyze sales reports and customer feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Develop initiatives to increase store foot traffic.
  • Maintain store inventory and ensure high product standards.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor strategies.
  • Set and review sales targets for the team.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in management preferred.
  • 3–5 years of retail, merchandising, or sales experience.
  • 10+ years in a senior management role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead a team and foster motivation.
  • Experience in staff management, including scheduling, attendance, and industrial relations.
