Flysafair careers – Manager:Operations Support
Manage budget input and cost control by negotiating effective rates with suppliers. Oversee and renegotiate service provider contracts as needed. Supervise IATA airport slot submissions and schedule alignment while maintaining navigation platforms and identifying optimization opportunities. Stay informed on travel policies and cross-border destination requirements.
Ensure compliance with post-flight documentation regulations and oversee procedures related to Jumpseat bookings. Manage interdepartmental communication concerning schedules, navigation, and 90-day retention documentation. Monitor continuous improvement and compliance in airport slot management.
Participate in briefings for contract flying to ensure understanding of contractual requirements and compliance. Compile and analyze fuel projections, ensuring accurate reporting on fuel usage. Oversee audits related to 90-day retention documentation.
Ensure compliance with work instructions and manuals, conducting annual reviews. Provide monthly reports on functional performance indicators and operational statistics. Lead the team by setting goals, fostering teamwork, and ensuring productivity. Identify skill development areas for succession planning.
Oversee and manage complex projects to align with company objectives. Build and maintain relationships with CAMU, Airport Authorities, Regulators, and Service Providers to support operational continuity.
Job Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent.

Qualification in Flight Operational Management (Advantageous).

Minimum of 10 years of aviation experience, with at least 5 years in a management role.

Experience in Aircraft Performance and Navigation, IATA Slot Management, Fuel Management and Monitoring, and Operations Support (90-day retention documents).

Knowledge of IOSA and SACAA audit requirements and engagements.

Ability to work non-office hours, including weekends or extended hours as needed.

Proficiency in IATA Slots, SACAA regulations on 90-day document retention, aircraft performance and navigation, company travel, and management.
