Job Description
The Manager, Non-Financial Risk will provide proactive operational support to implement the risk management strategy across the Short-Term Insurance business unit within the Insurance and Asset Management (IAM) cluster at Standard Bank.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

  • Type of Qualification: First Degree
  • Field of Study: Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Finance-related fields, or BCom

Experience Required

  • 3–4 years in Operational Risk Management with practical knowledge of Short-Term Insurance legislation, including SAM regulatory requirements and the Insurance Act.
  • 5–7 years of experience in risk, control frameworks, assurance, and financial services applications, including risk appetite, mitigation strategies, and process improvement.
  • Understanding of regulatory and financial reporting risk principles.
