Job Description

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through effective access control, patrols, and vigilant monitoring. This role ensures the protection of people, property, and assets while adhering to established security procedures and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols to safeguard premises and assets

• Control and monitor entrance and exit points in line with security protocols

• Complete and maintain accurate security registers and logs

• Compile clear and detailed incident and occurrence reports

• Perform safeguarding and general security duties as per training and site requirements

• Enforce security procedures to prevent loss, damage, or unauthorised access

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Grade 10 qualification

• Grade C security accreditation and registration

• At least 2 years’ experience in the security industry

• Clear criminal record with willingness to undergo regular criminal checks

• Physically fit and capable of performing operational duties

• Must reside within the area where the position is advertised
