Regional Facilitator – Value Logistics

Purpose of the Job
The Regional Facilitator at Value Logistics is responsible for delivering and evaluating high-impact training sessions and workshops across various in-house courses. This role involves facilitating programs such as debriefing, fleet management, telephone etiquette, coaching, mentoring, and MS tools. Travel is required to conduct face-to-face training.

Key Responsibilities

Create a Safe and Inclusive Learning Environment

  • Establish ground rules to promote respectful and effective communication.
  • Foster an engaging atmosphere that encourages participation from all attendees.
  • Deliver outcomes-based training with clear objectives and measurable results.
  • Conduct follow-ups to assess training effectiveness and integrate insights into performance reviews.

Facilitate Group Discussions

  • Guide discussions objectively, ensuring every participant has an opportunity to contribute.
  • Encourage inclusivity by engaging quieter participants using techniques like open-ended questions.
  • Keep discussions focused on learning objectives and manage time effectively.
  • Moderate group dynamics to address dominance, conflict, or disengagement.
  • Handle sensitive topics with professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Summarize key points to reinforce learning and document discussion outcomes.

Deliver Engaging Training Content

  • Use standardized training materials aligned with organizational standards.
  • Adapt content to diverse learning styles through interactive methods.
  • Incorporate real-world examples to enhance relevance and practical application.
  • Monitor engagement and adjust techniques to maintain energy and focus.
  • Promote workplace safety practices and compliance.
  • Conduct informal assessments to evaluate comprehension.
  • Maintain accurate training records and report to the Senior Training Officer.

In-House Course Facilitation

  • Conduct workshops on communication, customer service, and key operational topics.
  • Deliver specialized training in:
    • Debriefing: Structured operational reviews for continuous improvement.
    • Fleet Management: Best practices for logistics efficiency and compliance.
    • Telephone Etiquette: Professional call handling and difficult conversations.
    • Coaching & Mentoring: One-on-one or small-group development sessions.
    • Product Handling: Safe and compliant storage and transportation.
    • MS Tools: Training in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Minute Taking: Accurate meeting documentation.

Develop Course Content

  • Observe daily operations and staff activities to identify training needs.
  • Tailor programs based on real-world challenges to improve performance.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • OD ETDP Diploma or relevant qualification.
  • Assessor and Moderator certificates.
  • Proven experience in training facilitation, preferably in logistics or operations.

Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of fleet management, inventory control, and operations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Needs assessment and instructional design expertise.
  • Problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and blended learning solutions.
  • Strong business English (written and verbal).
  • Critical thinking and attention to detail.
