The Eastern Cape Service Team (ECPST) is a rapidly growing division within Discovery Health, expanding from under 60 to over 1,100 employees in just a few years. Comprising the Algoa Bay and Greater Karoo service teams, ECPST offers unparalleled opportunities for growth and development in a diverse, high-energy workplace.
Key Purpose of the Role
This Learnership leads to a nationally recognized FETC: Long-Term Insurance NQF Level 4 qualification. It blends structured learning with hands-on workplace experience in the Financial Services industry.
Areas of Responsibility
- Long-Term Insurance (Discovery Health)
- Call Centre Operations: Medical aid client servicing, claims processing, new business administration, and health benefits support

Education and Experience
- Grade 12 is essential with the following minimum requirements:
- Maths (Level 4 – 50%)
- English (Level 4 – 50%)
- Maths Literacy (Level 5 – 60%)
- 2nd Language (Level 4 – 50%)
- Incomplete tertiary qualification (advantage)
Specific Requirements
- Not currently enrolled in post-Matric studies or formal employment
- No prior completion of a Learnership
- Aged between 18 and 25 years
- Proficient in written and verbal English
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel & MS Outlook)
