Responsibilities:
- Research financial advice-related matters to support client reports and records of advice.
- Collaborate with financial advisors and the administration manager to draft Records of Advice documents.
- Assist with compliance duties to ensure adherence to industry regulations.
- Support the client review process for financial advisors.
- Verify the accuracy of policy schedules and other reports prepared by the administration team.
- Communicate effectively with financial advisors, service providers, clients, and team members.
- Conduct research, gather data, and develop processes to enhance business operations.
- Aid senior advisors in preparing financial plans and investment strategies for clients.
- Analyze client financial data and market trends to support recommendations.
- Attend client meetings and manage follow-up tasks.
- Stay updated on financial products, market developments, and regulatory changes.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development.
Requirements:
- Matric certificate.
- Progress toward financial industry certifications (e.g., PGDip in Financial Planning, CFP®).
- Minimum 3 years of experience at a CAT I FSP (investments, long-term insurance, employee benefits, medical aid, or gap cover).
- Strong knowledge of financial advice, particularly investment solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for financial planning and client service.
- Ability to work Full-Time (08:00 – 16:30) at our Morningside, Durban office.
Required Competencies:
- Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry, FAIS, and FICA legislation.
- Familiarity with compliance documentation for financial advice.
- Understanding of financial planning administration and processes.
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on reliability and productivity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and financial planning software (e.g., AtWork, EliteWealth, Xplan).
- Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Professional demeanor and strong analytical, mathematical, and research abilities.
- Problem-solving skills to identify solutions and execute tasks efficiently.
- Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the team and clients.
