Purpose of the Role
The Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth across a diverse customer base, including retail, commercial, and industrial sectors. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and delivering tailored solutions that meet customer needs while contributing to overall revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across multiple market sectors
- Build, maintain, and grow long-term relationships with existing clients
- Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and performance KPIs
- Manage customer accounts, including credit arrangements and payment follow-ups
- Present and promote products and services to both new and existing customers
- Address customer concerns effectively and overcome objections
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies
- Implement sales initiatives aligned with broader marketing strategies
- Prepare and submit accurate weekly and monthly sales reports
- Follow structured daily route plans and ensure timely client visits
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 5–10 years of relevant sales experience
- Strong communication skills
