Job Description
Job Purpose:
Provide leadership and technical support for the IBM infrastructure and SAP ECC (Finance module) on IBM System-I (AS400), delivering world-class infrastructure to support Clicks IT business applications while managing daily operations efficiently using best practices.
Job Objectives:
- Lead and manage a team of 4 technical staff.
- Administer and maintain the SAP environment.
- Maintain technology systems by ensuring proper versions and applying patches.
- Analyze recurring issues from major incidents to improve resolution processes.
- Assist in implementing the infrastructure roadmap and one-year technology plan.
- Support operational improvements and stabilization to meet service level requirements.
- Drive continuous process improvements to embed operational excellence.
- Perform general housekeeping to optimize technology performance.
- Ensure personal development to keep up with evolving technology and industry standards.
- Document systems and processes thoroughly for consistency and knowledge sharing.
Minimum Requirements:
Essential Skills:
- SAP functional knowledge with technical expertise in IBM i operating system and DB2 for i database
- SAP Basis administration
- AIX Operating System administration and maintenance
- IBM i (OS/400) Operating System administration and maintenance
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with IBM PowerVM virtualization
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networks (LAN and WAN)
- Understanding of Storage Area Networks
Education and Experience:
- 7 to 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure and technology administration
- ITIL Foundation qualification (desirable)
