Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality of housekeeping services.
- Conduct formal and routine inspections in residences.
- Monitor and report deep cleaning concerns to the Senior Housekeeping Manager.
- Maintain constant communication with line management.
- Enforce adherence to COVID-19 SOP cleaning procedures.
- Track and report furniture misuse in residences.
- Ensure proper maintenance of firefighting equipment.
- Submit daily maintenance concerns to the Senior Housekeeping Manager.
- Oversee staff hygiene, uniforms, and PPE compliance.
- Supervise and guide Contract workers where applicable.
- Distribute cleaning detergents to staff.
- Attend and document weekly meetings with line management.
- Execute deep cleaning and hygiene tasks in assigned clusters.
- Supervise and assign daily tasks to Houseman.
- Plan and coordinate recess cleaning schedules.
- Administer cleaning detergents and equipment responsibly.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed.
- Address corrective actions from inspection and audit reports.
- Conduct inventory counts and report discrepancies.
- Report pest control and maintenance concerns promptly.
Inherent Job Requirements:
- Grade 10 (NQF Level 2).
- Relevant experience related to duties and responsibilities.
Recommendations:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a colour-coded cleaning system.
- Colour-coded cleaning system certificate (attach proof).
