Job Summary
A well-established Accounting firm based in Pretoria East is seeking a skilled Tax Accountant with post-articles tax and accounting experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in individual and corporate tax, as well as the ability to liaise with SARS and manage audits.
Requirements:
- Membership with CIMA, SAIPA, or SAIT.
- Completed articles at an accredited accounting or auditing firm.
- Minimum 2 years post-articles tax and accounting experience, including individual and corporate tax.
- Proven ability to liaise with SARS and manage audits.
Technical Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of South African tax legislation (Income Tax Act, VAT, PAYE, Customs & Excise).
- Skilled in preparing and submitting tax returns (individual, corporate, provisional, VAT, PAYE, EMP501, IT3t’s).
- Strong accounting knowledge, including financial statement interpretation and reconciliations.
- Proficient in SARS e-filing.
Software Skills:
- Skilled in accounting systems (Pastel, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Competencies:
- Analytical and detail-oriented.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- High ethical standards and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Package & Remuneration:
R18,000 – R30,000 CTC per month (Depending on qualifications and experience).
