Stock Admin Manager – Job Overview
The Stock Admin Manager is responsible for end-to-end inventory control, ensuring optimal stock availability, accurate records, and full compliance with company standards. This role plays a critical part in driving operational efficiency, minimizing losses, and supporting overall store performance.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain full inventory oversight by monitoring stock levels across the entire store

Ensure accurate recording of all stock movements, including receipts, issues, and transfers

Prevent stockouts and overstock through effective forecasting and replenishment planning

Utilize inventory management systems to track, analyze, and report on stock data

Implement, maintain, and continuously improve stock control processes and mechanisms

Supervise, support, and develop stock control staff through training, coaching, and performance management

Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement

Apply correct pricing principles throughout the store

Optimize storeroom layout and workflows to maximize space utilization and efficiency

Collaborate closely with sales and finance teams to align stock strategies with business needs

Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions

Ensure adherence to company SOPs, legal requirements, and regulatory standards

Maintain accurate documentation for audits, reporting, and compliance purposes

Prepare and present reports on stock performance, KPIs, and variances

Lead three full stocktakes annually, investigate variances, and ensure an accurate stock file

Perform additional stock and inventory-related duties as assigned by management
Minimum Requirements
Education
-
Matric / Grade 12 (Essential)

QPB – Qualified Post-Basic (Essential)

Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Management (Advantageous)
Experience
-
5–8 years’ experience in stock or inventory management, preferably within pharmaceutical or FMCG environments

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role
Knowledge

Healthcare and retail product knowledge
