Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute both manual and automated test cases, performing detailed result analysis to ensure quality standards are met.

  • Take ownership of QA processes for assigned project teams, ensuring excellence in testing and overall quality assurance.

  • Collaborate with Senior QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and robust test plans.

  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues to maintain seamless system performance and stability.

  • Conduct thorough post-release and post-implementation testing to validate the quality and stability of solutions.

  • Interpret and execute moderately complex test scripts, ensuring comprehensive coverage and accuracy.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of test cases and test packs, enhancing their maturity over time.

  • Review and analyze system specifications to identify potential quality risks and gaps in test coverage.

  • Define requirements for test environments, data, resources, and tools, and design reusable test scripts to streamline testing processes.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant IT Tertiary Qualification.

  • ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Qualification.

  • Experience in project management and QA methodologies.

  • 2-5 years of testing experience.

  • 0-2 years of Automation experience.

  • Previous experience within the Fintech, Retail, Payments, or Banking environments is preferred.

  • Proven experience in API Testing.

  • Experience using API testing tools such as POSTMAN, JMETER, RAPID API, SoapUI, REST-Assured, Catalon Studio, Apigee.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.

  • Experience using Linux.

  • Familiarity with working on enterprise-scale application stacks.

  • Exposure to the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in database queries.

  • Familiarity with programming script languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and ensure they are completed to the highest standards.

  • Highly motivated with a passion for software testing and the SDLC.
