About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Production Team Leader to oversee production operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while coaching and managing a high-performing team.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of all team members on shift and promote safe behaviors.
• Manage PPE compliance and enforce corrective actions for non-compliance.
• Oversee machine safety practices, including Permit to Work, Lockout/Tagout, and safe machine access.
• Ensure all process and product checks are performed according to prescribed frequency.
• Manage operator compliance with autonomous maintenance requirements.
• Guarantee delivery of quality products to the warehouse.
• Lead problem-solving efforts for out-of-control processes.
• Verify compliance with operator daily routines as per the Agenda of Routine.
• Execute daily schedules including production, changeovers, cleaning, lubrication, and autonomous maintenance inspections and fixes.
• Provide hands-on support on the shop floor and operate equipment as needed.
• Train staff and ensure execution of operational standards.
• Escalate major issues to the Technical Expert or Production Manager.
• Ensure end-of-shift results are reported to enable effective shift handovers.
• Facilitate Quick Fix Routines, 5 Why analyses, and Abnormality reports as required.
• Coordinate planned training and conduct ongoing training needs analysis.
• Manage hourly employee work hours and resolve on-shift issues.

Minimum Requirements:

• National Diploma NQF Level 6 (Millwright, Mechanical, Industrial, Instrumental).
• Trade Certificate.
• 3–5 years’ experience in plastic injection moulding production.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a senior or management role.
• Demonstrated experience in shift production management.
• Strong knowledge of injection moulding machines and factory equipment.
• Solid background in machine setup and quality control.
• Computer literate.
