Microsoft Power Automate Developer
Primary Purpose of the Job
A Microsoft Power Automate Developer at BDO plays a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing automated workflows and processes using Microsoft Power Automate. This professional collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver efficient automation solutions.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
General:
- Collaborate with the Digitech team and business stakeholders to implement solutions.
- Develop and maintain scripts to optimize application functionality and performance as defined by the solution architect.
- Work within the full SDLC, adhering to defined governance frameworks.
- Provide training and support to end-users for developed systems.
- Assist team members to ensure project completion within timelines.
Process Automation:
- Design, develop, and deploy automated workflows using Power Automate.
- Streamline manual, repetitive tasks across HR, finance, operations, and other departments.
Requirements Gathering:
- Work with stakeholders to analyze business needs.
- Translate requirements into technical automation solutions.
Integration:
- Connect Power Automate with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Outlook, Teams), Dynamics 365, external APIs, and third-party applications.
Error Handling & Monitoring:
- Conduct performance testing on applications to debug, improve, and ensure reliability.
Documentation & Testing:
- Document automation processes, logic, and architecture.
- Perform unit testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate functionality.
Governance & Security:
- Follow organizational data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Manage user roles and access for automated workflows.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Microsoft Power Platform certification or relevant Microsoft certifications.
Experience:
- Proven experience in developing workflows using Microsoft Power Automate.
- Familiarity with Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Virtual Agents).
- Experience integrating Power Automate with Microsoft services (SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Azure).
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and other integration methods.
- Proficiency in scripting (JavaScript) and SQL.
- Background in software development and Agile methodologies.
