Job Overview
Lead and support a team of Clinical Data Management professionals to deliver high-quality databases that meet customer requirements.
Essential Functions
- Team Leadership: Manage a team of 5–15+ Data Management professionals, including resource allocation, goal-setting, performance evaluation, and professional development. Responsible for recruitment, compensation, and retention strategies.
- Process & Technical Expertise: Oversee the production of Data Management deliverables such as CRF/e-CRF, database design, validation, and Data Management Plans. Provide technical guidance to improve efficiency and resolve challenges.
- Training & Compliance: Ensure team adherence to SOPs, work instructions, and project scopes. Identify and address training needs while mentoring staff in data management best practices.
- Project & Client Engagement: Contribute to proposals, budget planning, and scope assessments. Lead customer discussions, manage timelines, and ensure project milestones and quality standards are met.
- Operational Oversight: Manage personnel in alignment with company policies and regulations, including performance reviews, conflict resolution, and HR decisions. May serve as Project Manager for critical studies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Clinical, Biological, or Mathematical Sciences, Nursing, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years in Data Management with people management experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.
- Skills:
- Advanced expertise in Data Management processes/systems.
- Strong knowledge of clinical drug development.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
- Proven problem-solving and project management skills.
- Ability to foster collaborative relationships across teams and clients.
