Role Purpose
As an Investment Consultant, you will build lasting partnerships with independent financial advisors (IFAs) by leveraging product expertise, market insights, and sales excellence. This role focuses on strengthening relationships through superior service, business analysis, and continuous improvement, positioning Momentum as the preferred wealth management partner.
Requirements
Experience and Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- 3-year BCom degree in Business Management or Investments (essential)
- Honours degree (advantageous)
- CFA and/or CFP certification (advantageous)
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of financial services experience, specifically in investments (essential)
- Experience in Momentum Investments (advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of SA and international investment markets, including Fund Selection, DFM, and Securities
- Proven track record in client/IFA engagement and practice management (advantageous)
- Technologically savvy
Duties & Responsibilities
Enthuse through Brand, SME Service & Digital:
- Build meaningful, long-term relationships with IFAs
- Transition IFAs from passive supporters to active brand ambassadors
- Leverage digital tools and brand alignment to drive engagement
- Retain and grow assets under management
Enable and Empower through Partnership:
- Position Momentum as the preferred business partner for IFAs
- Educate IFAs on financial planning and product benefits
- Provide advice-led coaching and business insights
- Analyze IFA practices to identify strengths and opportunities
Influence through Coaching and Learning:
- Establish Momentum as a trusted thought leader in investments
- Conduct 1:1 coaching sessions and regular engagements with IFAs
- Navigate regulatory impacts on IFA practices
- Uphold accountability, innovation, and excellence in all interactions
