This role offers the opportunity to work across South African and UK entities, performing audits that strengthen risk management, controls, and business processes within one of South Africa’s leading fashion retailers.
Job Description
The Head Office Internal Auditor will conduct integrated and process audits across financial and operational areas, providing insight and recommendations to improve controls and efficiency. You will work in a collaborative, supportive environment with experienced professionals, contributing to continuous learning and organisational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct risk and control assessments, process design evaluations, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Perform integrated audits across various business units and entities
- Conduct control design testing, effectiveness testing, and substantive testing including analytical review
- Prepare clear, concise audit reports and recommendations
- Follow up on audit findings to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant B-degree
- Professional certification (e.g., CIA) advantageous
- Minimum of 2 years post-articles Internal Audit experience
- Exposure to business processes and experience performing end-to-end risk-based audits independently
- Experience auditing finance departments or financial processes advantageous
- Internal Audit experience within the retail sector advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Sound computer literacy
