Job Description
Leadership and People Management
- Demonstrate and uphold professional values in alignment with industry and organizational codes of conduct.
- Foster a positive team culture and drive employee engagement initiatives.
- Lead and mentor a team of audit professionals, including line managers.

- Guide teams through change and contribute to talent development through coaching and feedback.

Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior management, governance committees, and regulators.
- Communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) to influence and align stakeholders.
- Engage with business leaders on key initiatives and control assessments.
- Develop deep knowledge of business operations to inform audit strategies.
- Strengthen collaboration with assurance partners to enhance risk monitoring and reporting.
- Support combined assurance efforts across control frameworks.
Strategic Initiatives
- Contribute to digital transformation within the audit function.
- Align stakeholder engagement models with internal audit principles.
- Enhance the brand and positioning of the audit team through strategic communication.
Audit Delivery and Continuous Monitoring
- Deliver high-quality, timely audit reports aligned with methodology and standards.
- Develop risk-based audit plans supporting business objectives.
- Leverage digital tools and data analytics in audits and reviews.
- Provide clear, actionable reports for key stakeholders.
- Apply professional skepticism and risk-based judgment in audit evaluations.
Knowledge Management
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Share expertise with peers to elevate audit quality.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Prudential Authority standards.
Skills & Experience
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAGE 200 Evolution.
- Knowledge of IQ and Premier payroll (advantageous).
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Planning and organizational abilities.
- Collaborative team player.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Business, Commerce, or related field (Required).
- Professional qualifications (e.g., CA, CIA, CISA).
- 15+ years in Internal/External Audit or financial services (Banking, Insurance, Investments preferred).
