Job Description:

Leadership and People Management

Stakeholder Management

  • Develop deep knowledge of business operations to enhance audit insight.
  • Strengthen the value of the audit function through proactive stakeholder engagement.

  • Contribute to combined assurance efforts to fortify the control environment.

Strategic Initiatives

  • Support digital transformation by contributing to the Internal Audit (IA) Digital Book of Work project.
  • Align stakeholder engagement models with IA principles to enhance service delivery.
  • Play a role in shaping the IA brand and communication strategy.

Audit Delivery and Continuous Monitoring

  • Deliver high-quality, timely audit reports and governance reviews that adhere to methodology and standards.
  • Develop and execute a risk-based audit plan for business units, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Leverage digital tools and data analytics to enhance audit efficiency and insights.
  • Provide clear, actionable reports for senior management and regulators.
  • Apply professional skepticism and risk-based assessments in issue validation and reporting.

Knowledge Management

  • Continuously upgrade technical and professional skills to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Share best practices and knowledge with audit teams to elevate performance.
  • Ensure IA adherence to regulatory requirements, including Prudential Authority guidelines.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAGE 200 Evolution.
  • Experience with IQ and Premier payroll (advantageous).
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong verbal communication and planning abilities.
  • Collaborative team player mindset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma in Business, Commerce, or Management Studies.
  • Professional certifications such as CA, CIA, or CISA preferred.
  • 15+ years of internal/external audit experience in financial services or Big 4 environments.
  • Industry expertise in Banking, Insurance, Investments, or Financial Planning.
