Finance Manager

Location: Durban
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM or 9 AM – 6 PM
Salary: Up to ZAR 70,000 per month

Role Details
The Finance Manager will oversee the full P&L for Kura South Africa, ensuring accurate and timely Monthly Management Accounts for the Group Finance Director. The role involves analyzing financial performance, collaborating with Operations to drive improvements, refining financial processes, and supporting commercial pricing and new business bids.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Execution:

  • Prepare and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts.
  • Produce monthly management accounts, including balance sheets and cash flow statements.
  • Lead quarterly financial forecasting and annual budgeting.
  • Monitor income/expenses, suggest profitability improvements, and analyze cost trends.
  • Maintain accounting best practices and internal controls.
  • Support budget holders with management information, risk management, and process improvements.

Transactional Execution:

  • Oversee general ledger, receivables, and payables.
  • Manage bank accounts, reconciliations, and credit control.
  • Ensure accurate revenue/cost allocation and cost center reporting via Xero.
  • Prepare and post journals, review intercompany invoices, and oversee VAT compliance.
  • Manage cash flow, payment runs, and banking relations, including SA Reserve Bank engagements.
  • Handle fixed asset registers, statutory returns, and annual audits.
  • Coordinate BBBEE financial audits and submissions (GBS/DTI).

Requirements

Education & Qualifications:

  • BCom Honours (with Articles) or Newly Qualified CA.

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • 3-5 years in a similar finance role.
  • Strong financial reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and commercial acumen.
  • Detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and able to challenge financial trends.
  • Excellent communication, multitasking, and time management.
  • High integrity and leadership by example.
