Job Description

The EDC Administrator is responsible for delivering comprehensive administrative support across Collections and Recoveries portfolios, while assisting with coordination and support for external debt collection partners. The role ensures efficient operations, compliance with strategies, and accurate reporting within the collections environment.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Manage query resolution and escalation processes in line with agreed service level agreements.
  • Provide administrative support to the External Debt Collections function.
  • Ensure adherence to the collections strategy and operational guidelines.
  • Perform performance reporting and track key metrics.
  • Conduct reconciliations and audits related to External Debt Collectors.
  • Analyse collection books to identify optimisation opportunities.
  • Handle dispute-related queries from external collectors and service providers.
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve queries and improve processes.
  • Manage and reconcile monthly settlements accurately.
  • Prepare and send responses to queries once resolved.
  • Compile and present monthly reports to management.

Administrative Duties:

  • Capture all leave transactions on the ESS system accurately.
  • Submit overtime records to management within required timelines.
  • Perform CAS-related administrative tasks.

Compliance and Adherence:

  • Ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures, including absence management, house rules, and disciplinary standards.

Ad-hoc Responsibilities:

  • Support team objectives by contributing to shared tasks and outcomes.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Assist in developing and implementing initiatives to improve and streamline recoveries operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 qualification.
  • Approximately 6 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Exposure to collections, financial services, or retail environments is advantageous.
  • Experience in query management within a Collections or EDC environment is preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
