About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized and responsive Customer Service Specialist to support operational excellence and client satisfaction in our transport division. This role is responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and ensuring successful execution of all CLIENT transport movements in line with service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor all loads assigned to CSR routes and allocate vehicles and drivers using the VFT system

  • Track real-time load statuses using the Mobile App, GPS devices, or manual updates in VFT

  • Ensure SLA compliance across all stakeholders including suppliers, DSV, and CLIENT plant operations

  • Communicate operational exceptions to RTM and CLIENT plant management

  • Liaise with suppliers, drivers, and customer teams to ensure trip adherence

  • Escalate delays or breakdowns and initiate corrective action

  • Ensure that all trip updates are logged within 15 minutes of the actual event

  • Input all supplier and CLIENT references in VFT for load tracking

  • Monitor the scanning and POD (Proof of Delivery) completion process

  • Analyze and report trip durations, highlighting any deviations that may affect rate escalation

Minimum Requirements

  • Completed Matric / Grade 12

  • Minimum 2 years of logistics experience, specifically in road transportation, including Superlink Linehauls and Milkruns

  • Experience in planning, load allocation, and route tracking

  • Solid administration and coordination skills

  • Previous experience in a client services or contact centre environment

  • Willingness to work overtime, including day and night shifts

  • Strong telephone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Experience using the VFT TMS (Transport Management System)
