About the Program:

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a dedicated Cosmetic Consultant for their One on York (New Store) in George. The role involves promoting and selling Dis-Chem cosmetic and beauty products while delivering exceptional and consistent customer service.

Minimum Requirements:

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Retail experience as a sales consultant
• Computer literate
• Willingness to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• Experience in cosmetics, fragrances, or beauty

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver outstanding customer care and service
• Escalate serious or unresolved customer complaints to management
• Demonstrate products through makeovers, cosmetic demonstrations, spray promotions, and other activities
• Manage stock levels and report on shortages, damaged, or expired items
• Ensure merchandising and displays are attractive and engaging
• Achieve department, brand, and vendor sales targets to maximise store income
• Stay informed on products, brands, and retail industry trends
• Manage all cosmetic, fragrance, and beauty house promotions
• Oversee salon appointments
• Follow Dis-Chem policies, SOPs, and health and safety regulations

Competencies:

Essential:

• Strong written and verbal English communication
• Team player with excellent customer service skills
• Ability to interpret stock reports, sales targets, and commission calculations
• Ability to work effectively according to a structured task schedule

Advantageous:

• Knowledge of promotions, personal selling, and product expertise
• Previous sales and promotional training
• Experience managing expired or damaged stock and ensuring stock rotation
• Bilingual
• Stock management skills

Special Conditions of Employment:

• Willingness to work retail hours
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport
• South African citizenship
• Clear credit and criminal records
