Job Overview

Pick n Pay is looking for a results-driven Multi Media Manager to lead the Audio, Vision, and Large Appliances departments. This role combines people leadership, operational oversight, and commercial focus to drive sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Financial Performance

  • Drive sales growth and profitability within the Audio, Vision, and Large Appliances categories

  • Manage departmental budgets to achieve or exceed turnover, gross profit, and margin targets

  • Monitor sales and expense variances and implement corrective actions

  • Identify opportunities to increase sales and enhance customer engagement

Stock & Merchandise Management

  • Maintain optimal stock levels and minimise out-of-stock situations

  • Analyse stock reports and take timely action to ensure correct product availability and range

  • Oversee merchandising standards and ensure compliance with planograms and visual guidelines

  • Implement shrinkage control measures to reduce losses

Customer Service Excellence

  • Ensure consistent high-quality service delivery by all team members

  • Respond professionally to customer queries and concerns

  • Promote a culture of customer satisfaction and positive shopping experiences

People Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead, motivate, and coach the sales team to achieve departmental objectives

  • Monitor individual and team performance, providing feedback and implementing corrective actions

  • Foster a high-performance culture emphasising teamwork, accountability, and urgency

Promotions & Marketing

  • Coordinate and execute departmental promotions and marketing initiatives

  • Ensure in-store promotions are implemented accurately and effectively communicated to customers

Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, standard operating procedures, and safety regulations

  • Maintain security and stock control measures to prevent shrinkage

  • Keep accurate records and reporting related to sales, stock, and departmental performance
