Contract Manager – Fidelity Vacancies
Position Overview
Fidelity Vacancies, through Fidelity Specialized Services, is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee security operations for the Transnet contract. The Contract Manager is accountable for full contract compliance, operational performance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring service delivery meets Transnet standards and Fidelity policies. This role serves as the primary liaison between Transnet representatives and Fidelity management.
Reporting Structure
Reports to: National Critical Infrastructure Manager – Fidelity Specialized Services
Direct Reports: Site Managers, Supervisors, Tactical Commanders, Drone Pilots, K9 Handlers, Control Centre Operators
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric qualification
-
PSIRA Grade A registration
-
Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in security operations management, preferably within rail, critical infrastructure, or high-risk environments

Valid driver’s licence with flexibility to travel

Strong knowledge of critical infrastructure protection and tactical security operations

Understanding of Transnet operational environments

Experience in emergency response, risk assessment, intelligence, and incident management
-
Computer literacy with reporting and Microsoft Office systems

Proven leadership, communication, and investigative skills
Contract Management and Compliance
-
Ensure full compliance with contractual obligations as defined in the TRIM SLA
-
Enforce adherence to Fidelity policies, Transnet security protocols, and statutory regulations
-
Conduct contract performance reviews and submit required compliance reports
-
Manage service deviations and implement corrective action plans
Operational Management
-
Oversee daily security operations across all allocated Transnet sites
-
Ensure effective deployment of manpower, including tactical units, patrols, K9 teams, drones, and vehicle patrols
-
Conduct inspections, shift briefings, parades, and site audits
-
Maintain effective incident response, escalation procedures, and continuous command-and-control readiness
Risk, Incident and Intelligence Management
-
Identify security risks, crime trends, and operational vulnerabilities
-
Oversee intelligence gathering, threat monitoring, and prevention initiatives
-
Manage critical incidents including derailments, cable theft, and infrastructure interference
-
Ensure accurate reporting through incident logs, investigation reports, flash reports, and performance summaries
Staff Management

Lead and manage Site Managers, Supervisors, Tactical Commanders, and security teams
-
Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary processes
-
Oversee recruitment, training, certification, and operational readiness
-
Promote professionalism, integrity testing, and strict compliance with company procedures
Client and Stakeholder Management

Maintain strong working relationships with Transnet Security and operational stakeholders
-
Participate in operational meetings, debriefings, and planning sessions
-
Ensure transparent and effective communication between Fidelity and the client
Administration and Reporting

Submit accurate deployment schedules, timesheets, registers, and payroll inputs
-
Maintain asset registers for vehicles, drones, firearms, radios, and equipment
-
Ensure complete and accurate records for incidents, investigations, and audits
-
Compile monthly management, KPI, and SLA performance reports
Financial and Budget Control

Manage contract budgets including overtime, fuel, maintenance, and procurement
-
Prevent cost overruns through effective planning and control
-
Ensure financial compliance through verification of expenses, invoices, and operational claims
