Job Description
The Art Director will serve as the creative bridge between concepts and tangible visual assets. You will leverage your conceptual thinking, design expertise, and storytelling skills to create campaigns and visuals that resonate with target audiences. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, mentorship of junior designers, and a strong understanding of both digital and print media production.
Responsibilities
- Develop designs, concepts, and layouts using knowledge of design principles and aesthetics
- Create artwork for campaigns, including landing pages, banner ads, social media posts, website assets, posters, and other media deliverables
- Estimate time required for project completion and manage deadlines efficiently
- Generate creative ideas and conceptual solutions for campaigns
- Source imagery and ensure effective use of brand CI guidelines
- Translate visual styles across multiple mediums to maintain campaign consistency
- Guide and mentor junior designers to ensure high-quality output
- Prepare layouts and artwork for production, including print-ready files
- Edit photos and create motion graphics, GIFs, and animation for digital use
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate project objectives into compelling visuals
- Develop sketches, storyboards, and conceptual designs to communicate ideas effectively
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends to ensure innovative and relevant design solutions
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
- Diploma or degree in Design or related field
- 3–4 years of digital design experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, design style, and creative experience
- Experience working in advertising environments alongside copywriters
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and design software
- Knowledge of DTP, print production, and creating print-ready artwork
- Ability to create static and dynamic web and social media banners
- Working knowledge of digital devices across desktop and mobile
- Understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques
- Familiarity with animation, GIF creation, and motion graphics
- Thorough understanding of the design process and brand positioning
