Reporting to the Head of Alternative Distribution, the Senior Key Account Executive will lead revenue growth through strategic planning, relationship mastery, and client-driven solutions. You won’t just manage accounts—you’ll own them, nurture them, and unlock their full potential. Be the trusted partner for key clients, fostering long-term relationships while identifying opportunities to expand business impact.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Account Management:

  • Manage a portfolio of strategic customer and intermediary relationships.
  • Develop tailored solutions to enhance client satisfaction, loyalty, and profitability.

Customer Relationship Management / Account Management:

  • Build and execute national-level relationship plans for complex accounts.
  • Coordinate cross-functional engagement to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution.
  • Oversee CRM system implementation and improvements for optimized partner management.
  • Develop relationship strategies for potential partners, engaging key decision-makers.

Customer Needs Clarification:

  • Consult with partners to identify long-term needs, leveraging internal expertise to analyze data and align solutions.

Sell Partner Propositions:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to design tailored product/service solutions and negotiate agreements.
  • Review complex sales proposals, ensuring profitability and compliance with organizational standards.

Promoting Customer Focus:

  • Collaborate across departments to strengthen internal alignment and elevate client relationships.

Sales Opportunities Creation:

  • Expand your network across business sectors, representing the company at industry events.
  • Gather market intelligence to enhance visibility and reputation.

Operational Compliance:

  • Monitor adherence to policies, regulations, and codes of conduct within your scope.

Personal Capability Building:

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert in growth strategy, regulation, or operational best practices.
  • Maintain industry knowledge through continuous professional development.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Strategic insight into client insurance plans and industry challenges.
  • Relationship and service management expertise.
  • Business acumen, complexity management, and accountability.
  • Strong communication, networking, and leadership abilities.

  • Process optimization and strategic thinking.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business Management, or equivalent.
  • Postgraduate degree (advantageous).
  • 6+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in resource planning and outcome delivery.
  • Background in insurance, with networks in mining, metals, or local government sectors.
