Motus Autoworx, a dynamic leader in the vehicle repair industry, is seeking an honest, trustworthy, and highly responsible Regional Manager to oversee operations at our Durban Briardene branch.
Position Overview
The Regional Manager will drive profitability, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth across the KwaZulu Natal region. Key responsibilities include developing business unit managers, maintaining company culture, achieving non-car rental revenue targets, and identifying innovative repair and business opportunities.
Specific Role Responsibilities
- Drive profitability and efficiency across all regional businesses.
- Oversee flagship business operations as a primary focus.
- Explore new business opportunities beyond traditional markets.
- Implement innovative repair processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Uphold and promote the Motus Autoworx company culture.
- Mentor and develop business unit managers and second-level staff.
- Ensure effective hiring and performance management.
- Develop staff succession plans to build a skilled talent pipeline.
- Achieve regional targets for non-car rental work.
- Collaborate with brokers, insurers, and paint suppliers for business optimization.
- Support regional growth to reduce accident costs for the Car Rental business.
- Monitor and manage key operational ratios and financial metrics.
- Contribute to regional budgeting and financial planning.
- Track workshop performance against profitability and efficiency goals.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Experience
- Qualified artisan with 10 years’ workshop experience (R5 million+ monthly revenue), including 5 years in senior management, OR
- 15 years’ workshop experience (R5 million+ monthly revenue), including 5 years in senior management.
Minimum Qualification
- Grade 12 certification.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Code 08 unendorsed driver’s license and own transport.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Suite.
- Proven experience with brokers, insurers, and paint processes.
- Strong grasp of workshop metrics and financial ratios.
- Basic financial management and budgeting skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
