Sales Representative – Value Logistics (Free State)
Purpose of the Job
To identify, recruit, grow, and retain key customers in the Free State region, from spaza shops to forecourts and wholesalers. Build strong strategic relationships, drive sales and margin growth, and effectively manage debtors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and recruit new customers in the region, meeting monthly and quarterly targets.
- Maintain and grow the existing customer base to achieve sales volume and margin goals.
- Build strong customer relationships through regular contact and high satisfaction standards.
- Manage customer credit to ensure debtor days remain within limits and payments are received on time.
- Conduct scheduled customer calls weekly, including order-taking and new product presentations.
- Track and report customer feedback for continuous improvement.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, resolving queries within agreed timelines.
- Execute marketing campaigns and promotions, monitoring results against objectives.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Minimum 5 years’ sales experience in the FMCG sector.
- Proven success as a sales representative.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office, and mobile sales tools.

- Strong sales and deal-closing abilities.
