Job Summary

Join our passionate team as an Inbound Travel Consultant / Reservationist, where you will craft unforgettable travel experiences for our luxury clientele. You will be responsible for designing bespoke itineraries, managing reservations, and delivering exceptional service to ensure seamless travel adventures across Southern Africa.

Duties

Client Interaction: Handle inquiries, understand client preferences, and provide expert travel recommendations.
Itinerary Planning: Design custom travel plans, including flights, accommodations, transportation, and exclusive activities.
Booking and Reservations: Secure travel arrangements using booking systems and industry software.
Customer Service: Deliver outstanding support, resolve concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.
Sales and Promotion: Upsell travel products, including insurance and premium packages.
Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong connections with clients, suppliers, and partners.
Financial Management: Process payments, manage deposits, and maintain accurate records.
Problem Solving: Address any travel disruptions or emergencies efficiently.
Administrative Tasks: Maintain client data, prepare reports, and stay updated on industry trends.

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Formal qualification in travel & tourism
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in luxury travel consultancy
  • Proven track record in designing and selling bespoke regional travel programs
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • In-depth knowledge of Southern Africa’s top lodges, regional logistics, and luxury travel expectations
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage complex itineraries under pressure
  • Flexibility to support the team during peak periods
  • Experience with Tourplan and WETU (advantageous)
  • Passion for wildlife, conservation, and creating memorable experiences
  • Willingness to attend site inspections, training, and fam trips
  • Customer-first attitude and ability to meet tight deadlines
