Service Advisor – Value Logistics
Purpose of the Job
This role is responsible for the efficient administration and management of job cards, outwork processes, and customer service within a workshop or service environment. The Service Advisor ensures accurate job card processing, seamless outwork coordination, and exceptional customer interactions while maintaining compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Job Cards
- Open, update, and close job cards with precision.
- Post labour entries promptly and ensure correct start/end dates.
- Apply appropriate fault codes and monitor job card progress.
- Process outwork orders as required.
- Verify accurate costing and finalise job cards correctly.
Outwork – Quotes and Orders
- Source and submit supplier quotes as needed.
- Create orders via Embrace and secure managerial approval.
- Attach signed quotes to the system before supplier submission.
- Convert approved orders and forward to suppliers.
- Submit signed invoices and delivery notes for GRV processing.
Customer Service
- Provide timely, professional updates on services, quotes, and repairs.
- Assist customers with courtesy and efficiency.
Work in Progress (WIP)
- Minimise open job cards and resolve issues quickly.
- Generate and manage daily WIP reports.
- Submit WIP reports upon request.
General
- Compile and submit daily/monthly job card and Atajo reports.
- Maintain Purchase Order records and perform weekly filing.
- Deliver top-tier customer service consistently.
- Track time and attendance, assist with stock takes, and ensure paperwork accuracy.
- Uphold housekeeping, health, and safety standards.
- Support general administrative tasks as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- 1+ year of experience as a Service Advisor or similar role.
- Retail Motor industry experience preferred.
Skills Required
- Strong administrative accuracy.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
