Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager with a strong background in construction to oversee projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have significant expertise in civil construction (buildings and residential sectors) and in-depth knowledge of FIDIC contracts. This role demands strategic leadership, financial acumen, and a proven track record in commercial management within the GCC.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all commercial aspects of multiple projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
- Ensure strict compliance with FIDIC contracts and handle Contract administration.
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to enhance project profitability.
- Monitor budgets, costs, and cash flow to ensure financial efficiency.
- Assess risks and implement mitigation plans to safeguard project interests.
- Negotiate agreements with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to secure favorable terms.
- Deliver accurate financial reports to senior management on schedule.
- Collaborate with project teams to align commercial objectives with project execution.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in commercial management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum 17 years of progressive experience in commercial management within construction.
- Prior experience with a main civil contractor is mandatory.
- Strong background in civil construction (buildings, residential, mixed-use projects).
- Expertise in FIDIC contracts, including contract administration and claims management.
- Open to all nationalities, with preference for candidates with GCC experience.
