Job Description
Coca-Cola Beverages Africa is seeking a results-driven Key Account Manager Shoprite to join the Key Accounts team. Reporting to the Customer Manager, this role is responsible for driving profitable growth, strengthening strategic customer partnerships, and executing commercial plans that deliver sustainable business performance.
Coca-Cola Beverages Africa is the largest Coca-Cola bottler on the African continent and the eighth largest globally by revenue. The organisation services hundreds of thousands of customers across multiple African markets, supported by a diverse portfolio of international and local beverage brands.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Achieve and exceed revenue and margin growth targets through effective account management and category optimisation

Build and strengthen strategic relationships with the Shoprite account to drive customer satisfaction and long-term growth

Lead the execution of promotional and commercial campaigns to improve market share and key performance indicators

Ensure alignment and collaboration across internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver customer plans successfully

Secure product listings and drive sales performance for new product launches within the key account

Manage account financials and partner with finance teams to resolve pricing claims and related matters

Ensure adherence to Coca-Cola system standards, policies, and corporate governance requirements

Monitor customer performance, market trends, and competitor activity to inform account strategies
Skills, Experience and Education
Experience
-
6–8 years of sales management experience within an FMCG environment

Proven track record in managing key accounts with a strong focus on revenue and margin growth
-
Demonstrated success in negotiating trading terms and managing complex customer relationships

Strong understanding of customer business models, market dynamics, and competitive environments

Experience working cross-functionally with operations, finance, and supply chain teams
Skills

Strong knowledge of sales and marketing principles to drive growth and optimise customer plans

Ability to build collaborative, value-based relationships with key account customers

Excellent negotiation and influencing skills with a diplomatic approach to conflict resolution
