Job Description
Overview and Purpose of the Role
With the expansion of our product offerings, OUTsurance has developed a face-to-face distribution channel. The OUTsurance Short Term Broker will be responsible for growing and managing a portfolio of business insurance clients through direct engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and expand your insurance portfolio through networking, cold calling, and door-to-door prospecting.
- Conduct comprehensive risk evaluations and provide tailored short-term insurance solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring continuous service and support.
- Retain existing business by managing renewals and addressing client needs.
- Stay updated on market trends and regulatory changes in the insurance industry.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets consistently.
- Collaborate with internal teams (underwriting, claims, actuarial, and surveying) for seamless service delivery.
- Adhere to compliance and quality standards in all business activities.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential Requirements:
- Matric or National Senior Certificate.
- FAIS credits or full insurance qualification (as per DOFA).
- RE5 certification (as per DOFA).
- 3 years of external sales experience.
- Own reliable transport and a valid Code B driver’s license.

Additional Information
Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups in line with OUTsurance’s Employment Equity goals.
Reporting Structure:
The OUTsurance Short Term Broker reports directly to the Regional Manager and collaborates with the Face-to-Face Distribution team.
